Message reached Everse Stables this week saying Obelia (by Obourg) had been declared Canadian champion for 6-year-old show jumpers. The BWP bred mare was known here by the name of Espace van Koekenhuyze. Mario and Mischa bought her when she was four years old.

After a few shows for young show jumpers, Espace was sold to Canada the same year. One year later, in 2009, she ended up 3rd in the ‘Canadian final ranking’ for 5-year-olds with her rider Frankie Chesler-Ortiz. The mare, owned by Sarah Bellamy, is now champion of 2010.

This is another succes for Everse Stables, but also for breeder Frank Dhaenen of the Koekenhuyze Stables. The chestnut mare is a daughter of Trappiste de Meia Lua (Fantastique x Uriel).
