The openings class of the international CSI3 * NIC Assen is won by the 20-year-old Doron Kuipers with Zinius (Nabab de Reve x Kannan), owned by Everse Stables from Waddinxveen. "I did not expect to win with my round," says Doron Kuipers, who earned 1.500 euros. "I rode a nice smooth round, but not incredible fast. Zinius is a fighter in the ring, he just don’t want to make mistakes”, tells Doron, who ride the horse since one year.

“In the beginning I almost had no control and he had some experience at 1.10m level. Earlier this year we jumped at 1.20m level at Jumping Amsterdam. So it went fast with him," laughs Doron Kuipers. At Jumping Etten-Leur Zinius surprised everybody by winning the Masters in May. "The higher it gets, the better he is going to jump!"
