To get up so early on Sunday morning to drive to Albergen, was not for nothing. Doron Kuipers rode excellent in the VdB Cup. He won the Young Riders class at 1.40m level with Zinius (by Nabab de Reve). Furthermore, he was second in a 1.35m class with Big Ben (by Cantos). Wianta (by Lupicor), co-owned by Everse Stables, won a 1.35m class with Dennis van den Brink.
"In the VdB cup the Young Riders rode very good. It was a beautiful competition", said chef d’equipe Sven Harmsen afterwards. "The established riders rode really great and ended in front, but the others were also very good. In the jump off they didn’t ride crazy, with the Dutch championship next weekend on the agenda." Doron is looking forward to start at the championships in Mierlo start!
