Doron Kuipers was very pleased. "I prepared myself and my horse for this championship by riding at the Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera and that has really worked out well. In Spain the courses were also very big, but here in Mierlo it is technically a little harder. While walking the courses, you had to make a plan and stick to it during the competition, because the course builder gave you no opportunity to improvise during the ride."
Coach Sven Harmsen was not surprised about the results of this championship. "Over the years I know which riders can do something extra and the first three of this championship belongs to this group. These riders all have a good team around them and they are aware that you should work together to perform well.”
