The world championships for young horses at Zangersheide was a big success for Everse Stables. There were no medals, but the horses jumped very, very convincing.
Mischa Everse competed with Amarillo (Indoctro x Heartbreaker, breeder G. Pluimers from Enter) in the seven-year-olds division. "At the first day Amarillo was a bit too fresh and he made a fault in the triple combination," she says. "On the second day he jumped clear and finished 13th. We finished 42nd overall and the top-40 was qualified for the final. That was a disappointment! In the consolation round Amarillo jumped clear again and we finished 17th. "
AD Cupido (Unanimous x R Rash, breeder Stal de Roover from Strijbeek), who won the 2011 Vion Cup for 4 year olds and who got sold to Athina Onassis and Alfonso de Miranda, was one of the most promising show jumpers in Lanaken. Day after day the five year old gelding jumped really amazing with Felipe Ramos Guinato. With one pole in the jump-off of the final, he finished 7th.
Furthermore the homebred Classic (Armitage x Chin Chin), also successful in the VION Cup, jumped also spectacular. In the final he made one fault in de jump-off and finished 20th with Joseph A. Owens from Ireland.
Cocq a Doodle (Tolan R x Niagara, breeder Stal de Roover), who is trained by Roosje Brouwer, started with a clear round in Lanaken. On the 2nd day he made one fault. In the consolation class he jumped clear again.
