Dutch Blue is a son of the KWPN Elite Prestatie mare Nulora S, just as the 1.40m showjumper Candlelight Z (Caretano), a 1.35m and a 1.30m showjumper. Nulora S is known as a half-sister of the 1.60m horses USA Today (Heartbreaker) and Cointreau Z (Calvaro Z). Granddam Ulora is an aunt of the Holsteiner sires Acobat I, II and III and closely related to Acord I and II.
