Double hit at Youhorse.auction Winter Sale: Twice €125,000

Author: AW

The winter edition of Youhorse.auction saw a spectacular finale on Tuesday evening, December 2. Qatar van de Achterhoek and Kongo sparked a thrilling neck-and-neck bidding battle. For both international showjumping horses, the auction hammer fell at €125,000.

“One top sale at this level is already something to be proud of,” said an enthusiastic Mario Everse. “But two horses achieving exactly this top price… that’s a rare occurrence. We have never before had so many international showjumpers up to 1.50m level in the collection. These two stars prove that we also have many clients in our network looking for further-trained horses and even ranking horses. We are extremely grateful for the trust of both consignors and buyers.”

The nine-year-old Qatar van de Achterhoek (Best Man Z x Catwalk van de Helle) and the ten-year-old Kongo (Extase x Oramé) will both be heading to the same stable in the United States, where they will put their experience to use at 1.45m and 1.50m, respectively.

€45,000 for approved Dark Dominator
It wasn’t only the experienced horses that drew attention. The young top talents were also in the spotlight. The six-year-old approved stallion Dark Dominator (Dominator Z x Acodetto) proved to be a crowd favorite and was sold to Switzerland for €45,000.

The winter collection found buyers in no fewer than 24 different countries. Remarkably, Romania made a strong showing with six purchases. Italy and the Netherlands also each had six successful bids. United States, France, Sweden and Ireland follow with four purchases each. Additionally, horses were sold to countries including Morocco, Mexico, Macedonia, Egypt and Argentina.

December 23: Last Auction Opportunity of 2025
With the winter sale fresh in memory, the Youhorse.auction team is now preparing for the final sprint. “The Christmas auction on December 23 promises to have star potential,” revealed Mario Everse. “During the photo and video days, we saw many remarkable horses, and we expect this collection to really deliver fireworks. We are already fully in the holiday spirit!”

2026 is already on the calendar: “Anyone looking to sell a remarkable sport horse in the new year can already register here. The first video and selection days are scheduled for Monday, January 12, and Tuesday, January 13.”
