The first foal of this year of Everse Stables is born. It is a gorgeous colt by jumping phenomenon Cornet Obolensky and Cartagena Z (Carthago x Burggraaf x Alme Z). This colt is born after embryo transfer.
Cartagena Z is known as the dam of the Grand Prix showjumper Zerly (Querlybet Hero), former VION Cup winner and now successful in the United States. Her son Hero W (Kannan) was sold in 2012 at the prestigious Prinsjesdag Foal Auction.
Cartagena Z is bred out of the 1.35m jumping mare Graduele, just like the 1.50m stallion Vario (Darco), 1.45m showjumper Allegro (Cobra) and two 1.30m jumpers descended from Calypso and Raphael.
