Eight five-year-old horses competed in the jump-off for the medals. Willem Greve jumped clear with Formidable (sire Carambole) and finished in 39.36 seconds.
Doron Kuipers knocked the time of Willem Greve by over two seconds with the powerful jumping Kerswin van 't Roosakker (Echo van 't Spieveld x Diamant de Semilly). "Kerswin didn't make any mistake here at Zangersheide. He's so careful", Doron tells.
"I've ridden Kerswin two times before. In the beginning of this year Mischa Everse competed with him a few times in Spain. Recently, I took him over from her. This is my third time at the World Championships in Lanaken and the first time in the final. To win a medal is super, especially when it's the most beautiful color."

Mischa Everse-van der Kraats finished 5th in the finale for 7-year-olds with Dutch Blue (sire Chacco Blue). Everse Stables achieved even more successes, because Finn's Pride jumped the final for 5-year-olds. Finn's Pride (Eurocommerce Zagreb x Apple Juice) was ridden by Olivier van der Vaart and dropped one pole in the first round.
The 6-year-old Electra (Dulf van de Bisschop x Querlybet Hero) won a fourth prize on day 1 with Anne van Vulpen. The 6-year-old KWPN approved stallion Everto (Harley VDL x Candillo) finished fourth on the 2nd day. Both horses jumped very well, but a mistake is easily made and disastrous for the final classification because of the huge number of participants.
