Sun, showjumping and success: Week 2 of the Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera

The second week of the Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera has come to an end, and we can already say: what an adventure! The sun was shining brightly, but it was the outstanding performances of our horses that we enjoyed the most.

Our young talents made a big impression. Four 7-year-olds, all ready for next week’s final, literally jumped into the spotlight. Hamos Z (Halifax van het Kluizebos) remained faultless every day, finishing in 5th and 7th place. Zuper (Zento) impressed with a 12th-place finish, while Capellini D’SG Z (Comilfo Plus) secured a fantastic 6th place. Nada Mucho (Perigeux), ridden by Senna Everse, even jumped three consecutive clear rounds—an outstanding result!

The 6-year-old Navajo Z (Nixon van ‘t Meulenhof), ridden by Mischa Everse, also secured his spot in the final. With six starts and six clear rounds, he easily qualified for next week’s final. This young talent has certainly caught everyone’s attention!

Our older horses were also in top form. Maribelle, the 8-year-old mare by Heathrow, had a faultless week and showed her abilities with a 10th place in the 1m30, a 4th place in the 1m35, and a clear round in the 1m40 as a spectacular finale. What an amazing mentality.

The 7-year-old gelding Big Tip (Big Star) made his debut in the 1m30 and proved that he is ready for the bigger courses. A top attitude, carefulness, and scope — check. Lotus (George Z) made his Grand Prix debut in style! With a flawless round, he cleared every jump effortlessly, once again proving why he has such a bright future ahead. A horse to watch.

What a week! With pride and confidence, we look forward to the third week of this incredible Sunshine Tour. We can’t wait to see what more our horses have in store under the Spanish sun.
