The festive month of December kicked off on Tuesday, December 3, with an exciting Youhorse.auction. While the website was already bustling with activity during the day, the bidding war truly erupted towards the end of the evening. The highlight of the auction was the four-year-old stallion Papigochic (Kannan), who will be heading to a new stable in South Africa for €38,000.

On Monday, December 23 - exceptionally not on Tuesday due to Christmas Eve - we’ll be auctioning very talented horses again. I can already reveal that there are some true gems among them!”
Worldwide interest
As always, the auction attracted worldwide interest. Auction topper Papigochic (Kannan x Guidam) will be joined on the journey to South Africa by the five-year-old Oerendhard (Harley VDL x Berlin). The four-year-old gelding Piet van den Hoogeweg (El Barone 111 Z x Action Breaker) fetched €33,000 and will move to the United Arab Emirates. The three-year-old stallion Chin Uno (Chinchero x Numero Uno) was sold for €32,000 and will fly to Canada.
Onslow E (Matisse de Mariposa x Dakar VDL) and Trebbiana (Taloubet Z x Papillon) were both sold for €28,000, to Spain and the United States, respectively. Luther W (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve x Concorde) remains in the Netherlands for €26,000, while Cayenne (Cornado II x Caretino) moves to Italy for the same amount. The eight-year-old mare Lady Lanja MG (Don Diablo HX x Quick Lauro Z) was sold to the United States for €24,000.
The United States led with eleven purchases, followed by the Netherlands with eight. Hungary stood out, with six different buyers each securing a horse. A Brazilian customer acquired three horses, including the eight-year-old mare Sierra Optima (Ermitage Kalone). France and Italy performed well with four purchases each, while Canada, Spain, Germany, and Switzerland each secured three horses.
Christmas auction and New Year’s edition
Youhorse.auction will wrap up 2024 with a special Christmas auction on Monday, December 23, featuring both ridden horses and young loose jumping talents. The new year will kick off with a bang during the New Year’s edition on Tuesday, January 7.
Mario Everse added: “These auction collections are already finalized, but if anyone is looking to sell an exceptional sport horse in 2025, they can register for the selection and video days of future editions. The first opportunity will be in February, with the selection and video days scheduled for Monday, January 6, and Tuesday, January 7 in Waddinxveen.
