KWPN-bred performed this weekend at the three-day championship for young horses in the Canadian Halton Place. Reserve Champion in the seven and eight year olds were Airborne (v. Emilion), bred by A. Th. de Boer from St. Johannesga.
The rider of Airborne was Hugh Graham, who was also champion of the Fifth Estate 3E born in Canada, from a mare-Emilion. The bronze went to Beth Underhill with Viggo (v. Quick Star) from the breeding of A. and W. Wolters and H. Ongering from Groningen.
In six horses for the third spot with Jay Hayes Wonderboy (v. Lupicor), born in S. J. Boy to Eethen. In this group the highest honor went to the Canadian-born Troy (x Indoctro Flipper). The winning five-year was up by Stal Everse lead singer and Heide-registered Masquerade (Calvino Z x Quick Star), which was bred by Alan Waldman from manholes and now ridden by Frankie Chesler.
